When you’re new to poker, it can be quite confusing when poker experts use different terms and acronyms for the various positions at the table. The most common ones include Under the Gun, LoJack, Hijack, Button, Cutoff and Small Blind. In poker, the Lojack position is the seat located three seats to the right of the button and two seats to the right of the Small Blind. It’s also often referred to as Middle Position (MP). However, when playing in the Lojack position it is important to remember that your opponents will be able to see your entire hand, including your position, before you act. The Lojack is an early position, but not as good as the cutoff or button. Despite this, the position is still an excellent place to be because you can observe all of the players to the left of you before acting on your own hand. In a full-ring game, there are a number of additional positions that can be added to the table. These additional positions are known as Under the Gun +1 and UTG +2.
